Piping Stress Company
The Piping Stress Company is an engineering firm that offers specialized services, such as pipe stress analysis and design of support and expansion joints. They offer these services at a fraction of the cost of traditional engineering firms. They have extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, and work for companies such as BP, Chevron, and ExxonMobil. They also have expertise in the design of piping systems, and work with equipment such as pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, and turbines.
They have a team of 70+ engineers with extensive field service capabilities and can visit plants for line walks, generate Iso drawings, and perform piping stress analyses. They also have the ability to provide vibration and noise analysis services for piping systems. They can perform vibration monitoring and identify the source of vibration using data gathered from vibration sensors. They can also provide the solution to vibration problems such as identifying areas of excessive sagging, providing support at appropriate spans to reduce weight (sustained) stresses and to allow for flexural expansion, providing additional restraints to control movements and reducing torsional stress, modifying the length or position of dummy legs, adding offsets or including elbows to change direction.
PipingSolutions can help with any type of issue that may arise during the design, construction or operation of a piping system. They can model the system, identify supports & guides that span appropriately, then run piping code stress analysis to identify overstresses, movement issues and connection loads. They can provide the best options for correcting these issues to meet piping code requirements and minimize the risk of failure. For more details please visit Material handling Company
The firm started as a pipe stress company, and has since expanded to include manufacturing expansion joints and support assemblies. They are a small company, but they have a very deep and wide range of expertise in the field. Their customers are primarily oil and gas companies, and they have experience working on projects ranging from small capital projects to large refineries. They are able to provide the same high level of expertise that larger firms do without the overhead that comes with a large firm.
They are currently seeking a Senior Piping Stress Engineer to join their team in Austin, TX. The Engineer will be responsible for the preparation of piping design deliverables on a variety of projects. They will prepare piping analysis specifications, review piping isometrics and participate in 3D modeling reviews, and carry out piping stress analyses for critical lines taking into account environmental conditions at the fabrication yard, transport and operating location of the project. They will also prepare data sheets and details for spring supports based on the inputs from the stress analysis reports. They will also be responsible for providing engineering hours estimates during the proposal process and tracking engineering hours on projects during execution. They will also be responsible for maintaining state-of-the-art knowledge in their discipline, in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
